Parents who have adopted

v     We never understood why we could not have children. Now we know. God had other plans for us. And He not only answered our prayers; He gave us much more.

v     Biological mothers ¡God bless them! If you had not decided courageously to protect the life of our children, we would not have been able to achieve complete happiness with them.  All of humanity would not have known exceptional human beings.  In the hearts of all in our family there is always a prayer for you.

v     In a city 2600meters above sea level, dreams are achieved!

v     We believe one can be a parent in many ways. In this case an angel organized our destiny.

v     To adopt was for us a turn towards the light; we recovered the pleasures of life and chose a path full of hope.

Adopted children

v     Adoption is the best present a child can receive from God because at birth we do not know in what circumstances we will be received. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to have been taken to adoption centers and have found families must be very grateful to God. Since before we were born, there was a family expecting our arrival.

v     We are the result of  the love of more than two people (…). To be adopted is not an additional characteristic like having black hair. It is the essence of the life of those of us who have had that privilege. (…) I do not remember the day I was told I was adopted. And I do not remember it because there never was that day; to be adopted was a natural circumstance, always known. (…) I am convinced that our family has always known that a family is not constituted; it is created. Love does not flow spontaneously, it has to be nurtured. That did not make us a “special” family, it made us a fortunate one (…) Adoption is without doubt an individual experience, but it has a collective dimension that makes it special. We are the result of the of more that two people and we are fortunate because our emotional ties and solidarity go beyond our family.

Adoptive Grandparents

v     The plane landed. Tension grew, nervous laughing, happiness…! Feelings never experienced until that day! They appeared suddenly: Marc and Mite with little Malika in their arms.

v     Our princess smiled.

Our granddaughter from the other side of the world smiled!

Our baby radiant like the sun!

v     What one feels when an adopted grandchild arrives is almost greater than what you  feel after waiting for 9 months. When they say “the baby arrives tomorrow”, activity is hard to imagine. I have 5 grandchildren from La Casa de la Madre y el Niño!.

Pregnant women

v     This moment is much more difficult than I imagined. This experience has cut my life in two; one before and one after. The before was easier, lighter but empty. The today is stronger, there is more stability and closer to God that what I ever thought...I will not have my child with me but he(she) has a mission: to give happiness to a couple who love each other, who want to be parents and the child will give them the only light they do not have.

v     When I found out I was pregnant I thought I would die because of the difficult situation I was going through. I gave my child up for adoption; the baby was lovely, I will never forget his face…There are moments of anguish, but I feel happy because I know he is fine and I know that God with all His power will help me. I pray to heaven that this program will continue and for my baby, wherever he is, I hope he is happy and the pride of his adoptive parents.
