“La Casa de la Madre y el Niño represents the best alternative for pregnant women, who for one reason or another do not want or cannot keep their children. For me, La Casa was the best thing that could have happened to me in this difficult situation, and it proved to be a very positive and enriching experience, which has helped me to improve my relationship with my parents and to value the things in life much more.
In the beginning it seemed as though time was passing by so slowly, but soon enough I was saying goodbye and crying as I was leaving those who had helped me, understood me, and supported me. People who I will never stop being grateful for. I would like take this opportunity to thank our social worker, Amparo de González for her wonderful work and to once more show appreciation for her understanding and her help.”
“I made the decision to come to this institution so that I may have support throughout my pregnancy and subsequently my son would have support aswell. Amparo de González has been like a guardian angel for me in this large and heavily congested city in which people think only of themselves. She has given advice wisely and with all the experience she has gained over the years.
This institution has been like a home where I have been provided with food, a roof over my head, training in certain subjects we have had classes in which is what we need so that we may relax and enjoy our stay here. As for me, may God bless this institution and every person who is working with such a fantastic operation together with the mothers and their children, both the ones who give them away for adoption as well as the ones who take their children away with them.

“May God bless biological mothers. If you hadn´t taken the brave decision to protect the lives of our children, we would never have been able to get to know the happiness of our children as well as some of the most wonderful people. Our family will always keep a prayer in our hearts for you ¨

«Thankyou ! » this is the word that comes to mind when we think of the women who have allowed us to enjoy having such a wonderful family. We thank them for their generosity and for having entrusted us with a little piece of themselves. They can remain reassured as there cannot be children who have been more long-awaited or more loved than these ones.

“I love my family. I’ve always had a great relationship with my siblings Charles and Kim, both are older than me and are the biological children of my parents. I felt safe growing up with my sister, she always defended me when someone attacked me. Once, whilst I was helping her out in the bakery where she worked, someone asked her about me. She said “He’s my brother”, and the imprudent person replied “You don’t look alike. One of you must be adopted” Kim looked right at her and without hesitation she said “Yes, ME!”
Jaime Greenberg, United States
I sincerely believe that those who have been adopted are thankful everyday for the luck that they have in being “chosen”. Over the years this gratefulness has turned into into pleasure … In order to explain it better, look at a photo where a whole family is gathered together and the reaction is always the same. Your chest puffed up with pride, unsure of where it comes from, you exclaim “This is my family, and these are my parents!” The smiles say it all. If someone had suggested to make it better, they wouldn’t have been successful. They are the ones who have truly given me life; My Parents.

We are giving the following testimony with all the love in our heart. Having celebrated out 9th anniversary happily and with a plan from the beginning to create a happy family, one which cannot be fulfilled without children which we can love with all our hearts, and raise them well so that when they grow up they would be amazing people. It made us very anxious to see that the years were passing by and we were still waiting for a child to come along. At no point did we try to avoid having babies, in fact quite the opposite, my only dream was to have children. We tried everything we were told to and even went to half a dozen doctors, but God had something wonderful in store for us. God works in mysterious ways, one does not understand him until the mircale begins, and that for us was not being able to have biological children.

When we think back at the journey to this point we feel that it was completely worth it! The journey was certainly not easy and life always tests you. But getting to this point certainly has its benefits! Our prize is Thomas, and at the exact moment they placed him in our arms, his gaze has stayed firmly in our hearts and has filled our hearts with joy.
The first few days were all about fulfilling our wish to “protect our son” as our little one would give us nothing but smiles. This of course meant that his parents wouldn’t leave him alone for even a second. 48 hours passed, the weariness and stress of being first-time parents reminded us of our role as “parents and teachers”.
