La Madre Gestante

La Casa de la Madre y el Niño acoge a la mujer que vive un proceso de gestación no deseado ya sea por limitaciones de tipo social, económico o emocional. La Casa acoge con amor, dedicación, comprensión y respeto a las mujeres embarazadas, quienes encuentran aquí calor de hogar y de familia que les da la tranquilidad y la paz que requiere el bebé próximo a nacer.

Donations

La Casa de la Madre y el Niño offers the children optimum wellbeing thanks to the resources we invest in their education, health, nutrition, entertainment and in a qualified team of people who shower them with love. Thanks to your generous contributions, we have been able to offer to these children a home and plenty of opportunities. Once again we would like to thank you for your generous donations, and we ask that you continue to help us in ensuring these children are happy and receive the basic rights that they deserve. We appreciate any donation however small, which allows us to put smiles on these children’s faces.

All the little ones who come to La Casa de la Madre y el Niño can be adopted. The idea is to unite the love of a child with the love of a parent , offering the right to enjoy a family and to grow into emotionally and physically stable adults.

Projects
La Casa has several projects, infrastructure enterprises that have not been able to be completed because of lack of funds. Following, you will find a list containing some of the projects you can participate in.

Time

There are a large amount of people who call us on a daily basis wanting to be volunteers in various activities or programs in La Casa. This help is invaluable and thanks to these people we can offer educational extra-curricular activities and childrens parties for the children, as well as specializations for the single mothers and much more.

Goods

Thanks to the generosity of various companies and moral people La Casa relies on extremely important donations of food for the children. We receive donations in the form of coffee, chocolate, oil, diapers, clothes and toys (new or in good condition), and many more.

La familia García de nacionalidad mexicana-colombiana ha recibido a sus hijos por conducto de La Casa de la Madre y el Niño; el primero en 2006 y la segunda en el 2009. Equipo y Colaboradores

Para llevar a la fundación a la posición de liderazgo que tiene frente a la protección de la infancia y la adopción, la Casa de la Madre y el Niño siempre ha contado con un equipo de colaboradores con un enorme compromiso, conocimientos y experiencia, para que la fundación continúe con la misión plasmada por los fundadores en 1942.

When Maria Lopez Michelsen founded La Casa de la Madre y el Niño in 1942, it was difficult to imagine that her work would continue from generation to generation and that is would set an example in Colombia and the rest of the world regarding how to bring adoptive parents together with a child , how to reach out to pregnant mothers and how to protect vulnerable children. La Casa, as is familiarly known, was the first private institution in Colombia dedicated to this kind of work. In fact, it was founded thirty-one years before the ICBF (the Colombian Family Welfare Institute), the public entity in charge of children in Colombia.
